IBWO women from the United States and Australia organized a Grand opening event to let the World know how their actions impact the society.
The following activities were on the agenda:
- Meet and Greet with all the US IBWO members.
On Friday 27th October, 2023, IBWO members from the United States met for the first time. They used to meet virtually during periodic meetings, and they saw this event as an opportunity to get together and reflect on what they have done for the organization so far as well as letting the world know not only about the amazing work the organization has done, but also what IBWO is planning to do in the future to make this world a better place.
The day ended with the reception accompanied with food beverages, Burundi traditional dance, as well as gifts exchange.
- Information Session with the Youth.
On Saturday morning 28th October, 2023, the youth met with the IBWO-USA vice President, Pascazia BUKURU, and the Director, Izera MAZAMBO. There were also other members of IBWO who came from Australia including the Speaker of the organization, Lidia INARUKUNDO. The youth had an opportunity to meet and interact with the Youth Executive leaders (Dolly Ninette NIYERA and Sheila KANEZA).
- The Actual Grand Opening Ceremony.
On Saturday evening 28th October, 2023, the actual Grand Opening Ceremony started. The Director officially launched the IBWO-USA. The presentations of executive leadership and members from different states followed. In addition, there were five powerful speakers representing other organizations and entities.
